You, Me and Forever || Puckleberry

berryirresistible:

Rachel was quickly discovering that her quickly developing baby belly got in the way of a lot of things. Like at the current moment, she’s trying to put tights on so that she could go on this date with Noah, but she couldn’t bend over real well and she was afraid to lay on the bed and put them on that way because the last time she put on jeans that way, she had to yell for Sarah to help her get back up. Needless to say, she was now in the stage where she was beginning to hate her body, even if she was happy about the twins. Still, nothing was getting in the way of her date with Noah tonight. It was Valentine’s Day, the most romantic day of the year and this year, she actually had a Valentine. She knew Noah had something wonderful planned. He always knew what to do to make things romantic for them. Like when he took her to New York and gave her the promise ring, or the song he wrote for her for Hanukkah. He was always convinced that he was shit at this stuff, but honestly, he was amazing at it. Especially when he wasn’t aiming to be romantic. Like the other day when he drew her a bath, lighting candles in the bathroom and put rose petals in the water because he knew that her back had been bothering her a bit. She never been treated this way before and she loved it. And she loved him.

She finally managed to get her tights on after trying for about fifteen minutes. Despite him telling her that she looked beautiful no matter what, she wanted to dress up for him. She grabbed the pink dress that she found with the little white hearts on it that still fit her, slipping it on before putting on her flats and coat, walking down the stairs and out of the house. Seeing Noah getting into the truck she smiled, sighing sadly. He was selling that truck so that they could get a car so they had a place for car seats. She felt bad that he had to sell the first thing he ever bought and owned. But she knew he was going to like his present. She convinced her dads to buy the truck, but allow Noah to keep it. Rachel needed something to drive herself, so when they get the new car, that would be her’s to drive. With a grunt, she managed to get herself into the truck, kissing his cheek. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Noah.” She immediately went into her usual spot, excited to see where he was taking them.

It wasn’t long before she was walking out the front door, his face automatically breaking out into a smile at how beautiful she looked. And he knows that lately she’s been doubting it, but there has never been a time when he thought she wasn’t beautiful. Tonight included. Honestly, there was just something about the baby bump and the fact those were his kids that made her so, so much more beautiful than he thought she did before she was pregnant. He watched her the entire time until she was sitting sitting next him, the smile on his face getting bigger just by the fact she was here. And yeah, that might make him sound like a pansy, but whatever. Sue him. He hasn’t spent all day with her because he’s been getting stuff ready for tonight to make sure it was perfect. He knew it was going to be. Just before she was about to settle against his side, he brought a hand up so she could look at him, leaning down and kissing her. It wasn’t like their usual kisses that lasted for a few minutes, he really threw his all into it just because he wanted to. He bit down lightly on her bottom lip when he was down, brushing the tip of his nose against hers as he pulled away, “Happy Valentine’s Day, baby.”

Soon enough, she was tucked under his arm like she usually is when they drive, his fingers drawing random shapes across the side of her stomach. This is what they did every time they drove, he loved it. It was going to be weird sitting in separate when they get an actual car and he doesn’t have his truck anymore, but it’ll be worth it. So worth it when the twins are born. Everything will be worth it by that time, seriously. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head as he kept driving, ignoring the questioning look she was giving him. He wasn’t going to give away where they were going, that would ruin the surprise. And he wants to surprise her like he’s never done before, this was definitely something neither of them have done yet. At least not that he can remember. He comes out to the lake every once in a while when he just needs a few moments of peace to think and be by himself. Now he wants to share this place with Rachel because of how much it means to him. He pulls onto the gravel road that led to the lake, taking it all the way to the water’s edge before turning his truck around so the bed was facing the lake. He turned the truck off and looked down at Rachel, kissing her again quickly, “Come on.”
