Tiny Little Feet || Puckleberry

Well, he was not reacting the way she hoped he would, but it was better than she thought. “Hey!” She glared at him a little when he mentioned her getting huge. She looked down at her already slightly larger belly, before seeing him scoot closer to her in the chair. She smiled softly at him mentioning another set of names. “We’re going to have to. We can’t leave them nameless.” She chuckled a bit, biting her lip as he continued to speak. And he was right, they could do it. She could hear the determination and excitement in his voice from it. “I’ve been saving some money. Maybe… we could go out and do a little baby shopping. I think now that we know more, we should start to prepare and get that spare room ready. Even if it’s just a simple item. I want to feel like we are actually getting something done for them.” Them. Sea Monkey was really Sea Monkeys. She hopped off the table, handing him one of the pictures. “For your wallet. Or locker. I’m sure their daddy wants to show them off.” She smiled at him, taking the hoodie back. She knew the instant they were in school tomorrow, he’d be pulling out the photograph, showing it to every person he could. Well, after he did whatever he had planned to those who slushied her. She slipped the hoodie on, grabbing her copy of the sonogram and the DVD. “How much do you want to bet your mother will cry when she watches this?” Ava wanted to come to the appointment today, but she was on-call. “Could we go home so I could change first? As much as I love wearing your clothes, they make me look bigger than I am.”

Taking his hand, they walked out of the office. Rachel felt lighter than before. Her issues earlier in the day had taken a back burner. Right now, they were focusing on their babies. “One of each or two girls or two boys?” She looked up at him as they walked towards his truck, smiling softly. She let out a sigh as he lifted her into the truck. She couldn’t stop thinking about what the doctor told her. She watched as Noah got in seeing him still smiling. “I’m worried. I don’t… they’re too small, Noah. They’re supposed to be bigger. And she’s telling me I have to give up all my extra curriculars to make sure things go okay.” She lifted her shirt a bit, to look at her belly. “I just want them healthy, you know?”

“We can go right now,” He said to her, standing up when she hopped off the table. “I’ve got some money saved up too, so we can use that or save that for later. Whatever you want to do,” He actually has a lot of money saved up, it’s from his pool cleaning business, even though he wasn’t proud of it, it still made him a hell of a lot money. So, it will definitely be worth it. Especially since he’s not wasting it on the dumb shit he used to like alcohol, dip, and everything else. “Just so you know, you can do the theme and everything since I’m not good with that shit, but I can put everything together. That’s something I can guarantee you I can do.” It was true, he really could do that without a problem. It was a benefit of being a werewolf, and it was also something Rachel didn’t have to worry about. He dug his wallet out of his pocket, taking the photo from her and slipping it right inside, closing it and putting it back in his pocket. “Of course I’ll show it off,” As weird as that sounds, but he was excited about this. He was excited about being a dad again, and he couldn’t wait to show everyone how kick ass he’ll be. He nodded his head, “She’s gonna be bawling for days, I know she is. She already freaked about one, imagine her with two.” He had a feeling the next few months were going to be crazy on his mother’s end, but he was glad he was making her proud. Seriously.

As they walked out of the room and headed towards the exit where they parked his truck, he nodded, “Yeah, we can definitely stop home.” This was all really happening and it was still surreal, his brain whirling at the fact he is going to be having two kids instead of one. “Honestly, anything. Obviously at least one girl. So that leaves boy and a girl, or both girls. How about you?” He wouldn’t mind two boys either but he wanted a girl, and they both she’s got at least one little girl in there. But he’s gotta try and see if she had a brother or a sister. He was hoping for another girl, as strange as that sounded. But at the same time he wanted a boy too. He unlocked the truck and scooped her up in his arms so he could put her in the front seat, closing the door once she was securely inside and then heading over to the driver’s side and immediately starting it. He headed out of the parking lot, a smile still spread across his face and he had a feeling that it was going to stay there for a while. Which he didn’t mind at all. He lifted his arm up, nodding for her to come over and fit into his side just like she always did, draping his arm across her shoulders. “Rachel,” He said to her, waiting until he was stopped at a red light before continuing. “You’re tiny as hell, it makes sense that they are too. Look, they’re healthy besides the size. And if you want to give up some of your insanely jam packed schedule, then go for it. It makes sense, less stress on you and the Sea Monkeys.”
